Good wireless coverage in a commercial space doesn't just happen. It takes planning - real planning - before a single cable gets pulled. For this Raleigh NC corporate install, we started with heat mapping to figure out exactly where each access point needed to go. That way, every corner of the space gets solid signal, and nothing gets left to guesswork.

Here's the thing about open-ceiling builds - they look clean and modern, but they come with their own set of challenges. All the infrastructure is exposed, so the work has to be done right and look right. We ran new CAT6 in conduit throughout the ceiling, keeping everything organized and protected while still fitting cleanly into the open aesthetic of the space.

Each Cisco access point was mounted at a precise location based on that heat map data. Not just wherever was convenient. AP placement in a space like this matters a lot - too far apart and you get dead zones, too close and you get interference. Getting that balance right is what separates a network that actually works from one that constantly frustrates people.

Everything ties back to a new network cabinet and Cisco switch, so the infrastructure is solid from end to end. That's how you build a network that holds up under real daily business use - not just on day one, but for years down the road. Reliable wireless starts at the foundation, and the foundation here is built to last.
